Frequently asked questions
How do you handle Brazilian customs?
Brazilian customs is the most complex in our region — RFB clearance plus port-of-entry requirements. We work with established Santos despachantes for spares; lead time is typically 5–10 business days for new imports.
Do you speak Portuguese on the ground?
Our Brazilian partner engineers are Portuguese-native. We coordinate in Spanish/English with the customer and Portuguese on the ground.
Which other Brazilian ports do you cover?
Paranaguá, Itajaí/Navegantes, Itaqui, Suape, Pecém, Rio de Janeiro, and Tubarão for iron-ore VLOCs. Dispatch is via the same Brazilian partner network.
Can you support flag-of-Brazil vessels with cabotage rules?
Yes — we understand the Receita Federal and ANTAQ rules for cabotage-trade vessels. Equipment imports under temporary-admission are handled where applicable.
