Privacy Policy
Marine Sea Networks (registered in Bogotá, Colombia) collects only the data we need to respond to your enquiries and run this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, who else sees it, and your rights under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 (Habeas Data) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

01. Who is the data controller
The data controller is Marine Sea Networks (legal name and tax ID disclosed upon written request). Postal contact: Bogotá, Colombia. Email: operations@marineseanetworks.com.
02. What we collect
We collect personal data in three places on this website:
1. The contact form. When you submit it we receive: your name, email, optional phone number, optional company name, optional vessel name/IMO, optional port/ETA, your message, and the locale (EN or ES) you used.
2. Email correspondence. If you email operations@marineseanetworks.com we retain the message for business-records purposes.
3. Analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-friendly, cookieless web analytics tool that we self-host. It records anonymous page views, referrer, country, device type and browser. It does NOT use cookies, does NOT track you across sites, and does NOT collect any personally identifiable information.
03. Why we collect it
The legal bases under Law 1581 (Colombia) and GDPR (EU/UK) are:
- Contact form and email: pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / Art. 6(c) Law 1581).
- Analytics: legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), with technical measures that minimise the data collected.
We do not use your data for marketing automation, profiling, or advertising.
04. Who we share it with
Two service providers process data on our behalf:
- Resend (resend.com) delivers the contact-form email to our operations inbox. Data passes through Resend's servers in the United States and the European Union. Resend acts as a data processor under our contract.
- Railway (railway.com) hosts this website and our Umami analytics. Data is processed on Railway infrastructure (United States).
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone else. Where required by Colombian or applicable foreign law, we may disclose data in response to lawful requests from public authorities.
05. How long we keep it
Contact-form messages and related correspondence are retained for up to 7 years (consistent with Colombian Commercial Code record-keeping obligations). Analytics data is retained for 24 months in aggregated form. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Your rights, below).
06. Your rights
Under Colombian Law 1581 and, where applicable, GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct or update it
- Request deletion
- Object to specific processing
- Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent
- Lodge a complaint with the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (Colombia) or with your national data protection authority (EU/UK)
To exercise any of these rights, email operations@marineseanetworks.com with the subject line "Data subject request". We respond within 15 business days.
07. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking, advertising or analytics. Our Umami analytics is intentionally cookie-less. The only technical cookies that may be set are short-lived ones used by your browser to remember your language choice (EN or ES). These are not used for tracking.
08. Security
All traffic to this website is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3). The contact form and analytics endpoints sit behind HTTPS. Internally we use access controls, MFA, and the principle of least privilege. We do not store payment data on this site.
09. International transfers
Where data is transferred outside Colombia (to Resend or Railway in the US/EU), the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent commitments under Colombian Decree 1377 of 2013.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as our processing changes. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the website after a change implies acceptance.
