FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can you attend a vessel?

Same-day in Cartagena. 24-hour dispatch to any port in Colombia, Panama, US Gulf, Central America and the Caribbean. 24–48 hours to South America, US East/West Coasts and Mexico Pacific.

How does customs work for spares?

We hold customs registrations and import permits in Colombia, Panama, Mexico, USA, Brazil, Argentina and the Caribbean. Most spares can be sent ahead and held bonded at the port agent, ready for handover.

Can you work during a vessel's 12-hour port call?

Yes — that is most of what we do. Engineers arrive with everything pre-staged, target a 6–8 hour productive window on board, and use the remaining buffer for testing and sign-off.

What if the vessel skips the planned port?

We track vessel ETAs daily and reroute the engineer to the next port-of-call. Travel cost change is borne by the customer; engineer day rate is unchanged. We have done last-minute reroutes from Cartagena to Panama and from Houston to New Orleans.

Do you cover dry-dock attendance separately?

Yes — dry-dock attendance has a different scope (longer, more invasive, often pre/post-dock surveys). Same engineer pool, different commercial structure. Ask us for a dry-dock quote and we will scope it accordingly.

Ready for a fixed-price quote?

Share the vessel, the port and the scope — we respond within one business day with a quote and dispatch plan.
